335,000 POUNDS OF PURPLE POTATOES RESCUED

Food Rescue US locations in Maine, Detroit, and Washington D.C partnered with The Farmlink Project to rescue more than 335,000 pounds of excess purple potatoes from a farm in Maine, ensuring they did not go to waste. 

Volunteer food rescuers sorted and distributed the potatoes to social service agencies providing for food insecure individuals throughout their region.
