Dear Friends,

As we begin a new year, I find myself reflecting on what we accomplished together in 2025—and feeling deeply grateful.

Food Rescue US continues to be a national leader in providing nourishing meals to people facing food insecurity, reducing unnecessary food waste and protecting our planet in the process.

This is only possible because of leaders like you – so I’d like to start off 2026 by saying THANK YOU.

We’re grateful for you—and for the incredible site directors, food donors, receiving agencies and volunteers who are in the field every day, coordinating hundreds of food rescues and ensuring healthy food reaches neighbors across our communities.

In 2025, thanks to your work, Food Rescue US achievements include:

-35.7 million meals rescued
-Nearly 147,000 food rescues completed nationwide
-6,085 new registered rescuers
-10 rescuers reached the extraordinary milestone of 1,000 rescues each
-28 community fridges launched across multiple sites

And I am confident that 2026 will be our most impactful year yet.

Not because the challenges are smaller—but because our community is larger, more connected, and more committed than ever. You are a vital part of the growing Food Rescue US community.
