Food Rescue US – Northwest CT Receives a Grant from the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation Eva M. Coty Fund

The Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation Eva M. Coty Fund awarded Food Rescue US – Northwest CT a $10,000 grant. The funding will support the ongoing work of Food Rescue US – Northwest CT and the site’s efforts to expand. Over the last year, as the height of the pandemic passed and government assistance programs ended, we have seen the need for food assistance increasing again while, simultaneously, grocery prices have jumped 12%. Food Rescue US – Northwest CT has provided 2.9+ million meals to those in need and kept 3.5+ million pounds of food out of landfills. With funding from the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation, we plan to increase our food recovery efforts in 2023. We are grateful for the support that the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation has given us.
