A Soup-er Local Tasting

Join Food Rescue US – Fairfield County for a fun and cozy evening celebrating the local food community in Fairfield County, CT. Hosted by Harbor Harvest, 100 Mile Markets, and Food Rescue US – Fairfield County, we will share soup, stories, and some delicious tastings from local vendors. Stop by for a quick bite or hang out for a while and learn about the local food system.

Try one (or all three!) of Harbor Harvest‘s soups prepared with local produce, meat, and seafood. There will be a vegan and gluten free option available. Their house made soups are truly delicious and available for a suggested donation. All proceeds from the sales will go to Food Rescue US – Fairfield County.

While you slurp up your soup, you can learn about 100 Mile Markets, a digital farmers’ market that is on a mission to make buying local simple. Each week you can order truly local (all sourced within 100 miles), high quality, seasonal products through their website. Come learn more about their work and get to meet some of the incredible local vendors they work with.

Lastly, learn from Co-Site directors Haley Schulman and Alexa Sosa about the local food system and the role of Food Rescue US – Fairfield County.

The event runs from 4:00PM – 6:30PM at Harbor Harvest located at 7 Cove Ave., Norwalk, CT. Free street parking is available. If parking on Cove Ave. fills up, there is additional free parking along the side streets in the area.

For more information about the event, please email Haley Schulman at haley@foodrescue.us.
