Claim or Adopt a Rescue on Desktop
- Select the Schedule tab from the menu bar.
- Navigate to the day you wish to claim a rescue by scrolling. By default, you will see all rescues, select the filters button (the circle icon in the bottom right-hand corner) to filter by unclaimed rescues. Filters can also be applied to car size (including bicycle), total rescue distance, specific food donors, receiving agencies , the pick-up city, and the drop-off city.
- Once you’ve identified a rescue that works for you. Select ‘I’ll Do It’ to claim a single rescue or ‘Adopt’ if you want to claim a recurring rescue.
- If you select ‘Adopt’ a new screen will load showing up to ten of the next rescues in the series. Select the box next to the ‘I agree’ statement and then select confirm to adopt the rescues.
- To view your next 5 upcoming rescues select ‘My Food Rescue US’ in the button left corner and the rescues will appear under the ‘Upcoming Rescues’ section. If you want to view all of your upcoming rescues you can select ‘My Rescues’.
