Food Rescue US - Southwest Florida disrupts the cycle of food waste by directing nutritious, surplus food to social service agencies serving people experiencing food insecurity. We leverage technology and a network of volunteers to streamline food rescue and distribution while fostering strong community connections and ensuring easy accessibility for participants. By reducing food waste, decomposing food is kept from landfills, where it produces harmful methane gas that negatively impacts the climate.
