Food Rescue US – Detroit

Darraugh Collins launched the Detroit site in June 2019 as Site Director. She oversees all aspects of the site from adding new food donors and managing rescues, to recruiting new community members and building awareness. Due to COVID – 19, Darraugh and her dedicated volunteers distributed over 7 million pounds of USDA food boxes from the TCF Convention Center, in addition to daily food rescues. The Detroit chapter serves Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties as well as Flint, Saginaw, Midland, and places in between. Darraugh joins Food Rescue US with an Executive MBA in International Business from Crummer Graduate School of Business in Winter Park, Florida, and a degree in Pastry Arts from the French Culinary Institute in New York City, along with over 18 years of experience in visual merchandising, styling, and interiors for international retailers.
