Food Rescue US - Chicagoland

Linda Bartman is an operational growth leader passionate about revitalizing businesses and setting them up for lasting success. Her experience spans a variety of sectors, including technology, hospitality, retail, and consumer industries, which has equipped her with the skills to tackle complex challenges and drive meaningful transformations.  After witnessing the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, she saw a critical need for community support, especially with food insecurity worsened by supply chain issues, job losses, and rising food prices. Driven by her desire to make a difference, she joined Food Rescue US, as the Chicagoland Site Director in September 2022.   In its first year of rescuing food, the site provided 155,000 meals to those in need by the close of 2022. In 2024 we provided approximately 200,000 meals to the community and saved 240,000 pounds of food from going into landfills. 

 

Linda is dedicated to adding more donors and social service agencies to its growing network, ensuring she is feeding as many people as possible, and reducing food waste.  She believes in collaborating with other food rescue initiatives and causes, to ensure all food is distributed to those in need.

Currently, she's leveraging her expertise in interim and consulting roles to help organizations enhance their growth and operational efficiency at both local and national levels. This flexible approach not only enables her to create positive change in the business landscape but also gives her the time to focus on food recovery initiatives.
