Food Rescue US - Chicagoland

Linda Bartman is a Chicago native, growing up primarily in the suburbs, but has worked in Chicago for the past 20 years. Linda works in the corporate world full time but has volunteered as the Chicagoland Site Director, bringing together donors, receiving agencies, volunteers, and rescuers to help those who are food insecure and eliminate food waste in landfills.  When she first started at Food Rescue US in August of 2022, she focused on rescuing food in the suburbs.  Over the last 6-9 months, she has expanded her efforts to include the city of Chicago.  In 2023 alone, Linda, with help from her volunteers, rescuers, donation partners and receiving agencies, has provided 140,000  meals and has rescued 168 thousand pounds of food in the Chicago area and surrounding suburbs.  She is dedicated to rescuing even more food in the coming years to help reduce food insecurity in Chicagoland.
